WWF Monday Night Raw 16/10/95

We open Raw with HHH already in the ring. Vince McMahon and Jerry Lawler welcome us to the show. Vince hypes the main event between Bret Hart and Isaac Yankem in a Steel Cage Match.

Doink vs. Hunter Hearst-Helmsley

Lock up to start, HHH grabs a side headlock but lets it go. Another tie up, HHH attempts a hip toss, Doink blocks it and hits one of his own. Doink grabs HHH nose and punches him across the nose. HHH charges at Doink only to get caught in a bodyslam. HHH comes back with a clothesline on Doink followed by stomps. HHH picks up Doink for an irish whip and connects with a back elbow. HHH with a european uppercut that sends Doink to the corner, HHH whips him across the ring to the opposite corner. He charges at Doink who gets his foot up and hits a side walk slam. Doink goes for an elbow drop but HHH rolls out of the way, HHH hits a knee drop across the face for a 2 count. HHH picks up Doink for a suplex and gets a 2 count. HHH puts a chinlock on Doink followed by an irish whip, Doink reverses into a small package for 2. Doink with a backslide for another 2 count. HHH ducks a cross body block from Doink, HHH picks Doink up and hits the Pedigree for the 3 count.

Match Thoughts: Decent opening match for Raw. *1/2

We go to the back for an interview with Barry Horowitz and Hakushi. Barry Horowitz asks him who is the greatest homerun hitter. Im not sure what Hakushi says but Barry Horowitz is happy with the answer and hugs him.

We get a promo from PG-13 letting everyone know they will becoming the new WWF Tag Team Champions tonight.

While The Smoking Gunns are coming out we get footage of Gorilla Monsoon telling everyone who will replace The Undertaker against Mabel, he lets us know it will be Yokozuna against Mabel.

Smoking Gunns vs. PG-13

Wolfie D and Billy Gunn to start the match, tie up and Billy is able to power D to the corner. He hits a big hip toss out of the corner and comes off the ropes with a big right hand. D tags in JC, Billy pushes D off the ropes and throws them into each other. Billy tags in Bart and its a big clothesline on JC. Bart picks him up and whips him to the ropes, Bart with a back body drop but JC lands on his feet only to get clotheslined by Bart. D comes into the ring and gets clotheslined too, Bart picks up JC and tosses him onto D, PG-13 roll out to the floor. Bart tags out to Billy who works over Ds arm. Bart goes for a hiptoss but D is able to roll through it and whip Billy to the ropes, JC grabs Billys legs from the outside allowing D to knee him in the back sending him to the floor. JC throws Billy back into the ring, he tags out to D. D with a snapmare and he applies a headlock to Billy. Billy with punches to the midsection, JC runs in and hits Billy to put a stop to his comeback which brings Bart into the ring, the ref tries to restrain Bart which allows PG-13 to double team Billy as we head to break.

Back from commercial and D is choking Billy across the top rope. D tags in JC, they hit a double back elbow followed by a double elbow drop for 2. JC tags out to D  who whips Billy and goes for a dropkick, Billy catches D and slingshots him into JC on the apron. Billy tags in Bart who clothesline PG-13 and then hits a bodyslam on each of them. Bart picks up D in a sidewalk slam and Billy comes off the top rope with a leg drop for the 1-2-3.

Match Thoughts: Pretty standard tag team match. The Smoking Gunns are pretty boring and there only good offensive move is their finisher. **

We get a promo from Ahmed Johnson who rambles on about honour. Not exactly sure what that was all about, but it will be good to see Ahmed in the ring.

Footage is show of Dean Douglas attacking Shawn Michaels after last weeks fantastic 6 man tag.

Dean Douglas vs. Joe Dorgan

Lock up to start, Dean gets a go behind and takes Joe down to the mat twice. Dean holds Joe in a reverse Bear Hug, Joe is able to hip toss out of the that and hits a pair of dropkicks. Douglas fights back with a clothesline followed by a bodyslam. Dean drops a pair of knees across the chest and chokes away at Dorgan. We hear words from Shawn Michaels on the phone discussing him being assaulted by marines outside a bar. Douglas picks Joe up for a suplex and drops him across the top rope. Dean with a fisherman suplex for the win.

Match Thoughts: Squash. I’m not the biggest fan of Dean Douglas, and this squash did nothing to change that. 1/2*

While the cage is being set up, Vince lets us know that if Jerry Lawler interferes in the match at all he will be placed in the smaller cage and it will be suspended above the ring.

Vince hypes the upcoming In Your House PPV, matches currently scheduled:

We get a promo from Goldust who says Marty is in store for a major makeover.

Footage is shown of Mabel attacking The Undertaker numerous times. We get a promo from Paul Bearer who says The Undertakers face was crushed and when he returns he will get revenge on Mabel and Yokozuna and promises they will never be the same again.

Bret Hart vs. Isaac Yankem DDS (Steel Cage Match)

Lock up to start, Isaac overpowers Bret to the corner and pummels away on Bret. Yankem throws Bret into the corner turnbuckle, he whips Bret across the ring and misses an elbow. Bret takes over with quick punches, an atomic drop and a clothesline which takes Yankem down. Bret hits a headbutt to the lower nether region. Bret slams Yankems head against the turnbuckle, he lifts Yankem up for a bodyslam. Bret starts to climb the cage but Yankem grabs Brets leg and clobbers him in the back. Yankem throws Bret off the top rope and drops a pair of elbows across the throat. Yankem starts to climb the cage but Bret is able to grab a leg, Bret with two punches across the lower back which sends Yankem to the mat. Bret gets to the top of the cage before Yankem grabs his arm and drags him back into the ring. Yankem slams Brets head into the steel cage and starts to climb to the top of the cage. Bret grabs his leg and pulls him off the top rope by the leg. Bret chokes Yankem in the corner and stomps away. Bret walks to the cage door and asks the ref to unlock it, while he is waiting Yankem hits Bret from behind with a clothesline. We see at the commentators desk that Jerry Lawler has changed the locks on the door, so the keys the Ref has will not work. Bret pushes Yankem into the corner and punches away as we head to commercial.

Back from break Bret with a headbutt, Yankem rakes the eyes and kicks away at Bret. Yankem begins to climb out the cage, Bret is able to turn Yankem around and slam him off the top rope. Bret goes to escape the cage but instead comes off the top with a clothesline. Bret then locks in the sharpshoot and Yankem is tapping out in pain. Bret starts to climb the cage, Jerry Lawler leaves the commentary desk and climbs the cage. He punches Bret off the cage back into the ring. Gorilla Monsoon and WWF officials come out to put Lawler into the smaller cage. Bret climbs the cage and punches away at Jerry to knock him off the cage allowing the officials to put Lawler in the cage. Yankem cuts Bret off from escaping by holding onto his leg, he pulls Brets leg out from under him crotching him on the top rope. Yankem chokes away at Bret in the corner. Yankem picks Bret up and tries for a powerbomb but Bret reverses into a back body drop. Bret climbs the cage and gets to the other side, Yankem catches Bret and brings him back into the ring, he slams Bret off the top rope. Yankem starts climbing over the top of the cage, Bret stops him at the top and both guys are punching away at each other. Both guys are fighting on the top rope, Bret headbutts Yankem off the top rope and crotches himself. We see Jerry Lawler suspended above the ring has a nose bleed as we head to break.

Back from the commercial and Bret is biting away at Yankem in the corner. Yankem is able to fight back and goes to ram Brets head into the cage, Bret blocks it and slams Yankem into the cage. Bret hammers away in the corner and then hits a side walk slam. Bret is able to climb to the outside of the cage again, Yankem grabs Bret by the head and drags him back to the ring. Yankem hits Bret with the DDS, Yankem slowly climbs to the top of the cage. Bret grabs him by the ankle and pulls him back into the ring. Bret slams Yankems head into the turnbuckle and unloads with ten punches in the corner. Bret gets whipped chest first into the corner turnbuckle. Yankem signals for something from Lawler, we see that Lawler has a key and throws it down to Yankem. Yankem unlocks the door, Bret rolls Yankem up and punches him low. Bret punches away on Yankem and connects with a bulldog. Bret with a backbreaker followed by an elbow drop off the middle rope. Bret starts to climb out of the cage and he reaches the floor to win the match.

Match Thoughts: Excellent main event. Bret Hart was always great at working cage matches and Isaac Yankem put on an excellent performance too. ***1/2

Vince McMahon tells Jerry Lawler there is problems with the cables and he cant be lowered down. Vince hypes In Your House for this coming Sunday.

Show Thoughts: The Cage match saved this show. It was very slow going until that. Thumbs in the middle.

WCW Monday Nitro 16/10/95

WCW Monday Nitro 16/10/95

We open with Eric Bischoff, Bobby Hennan and Mongo. They hype the upcoming main event tag team match between Ric Flair and Sting vs Arn Anderson and Brian Pillman.

We get footage from WCW Pro of Ric Flair asking Sting to be his partner, he dares Sting to say no. Sting says that he will be his partner but if he swerves him at all he will leave Flair for dead.

Diamond Dallas Page vs. Johnny B. Badd

Before the bell rings DDP hits Johnny in the back of the head with the WCW TV Title and the ref DQs him. DDP covers Johnny and counts the 1-2-3 himself. DDP shoots off the Badd Blaster.

Match Thoughts: No match, but a great way to further the angle heading into Halloween Havoc.

Eddy Guerrero vs. Chris Benoit

Tie up to start, both guys break straight away. Another tie up and Benoit hits a quick arm drag. Eddie grabs a side headlock, Benoit pushes him off the ropes Eddy shoulderblocks him down. Eddy takes Benoit down with a reverse wristlock and gets some quick 2 counts. Benoit flips up from the mat and takes Eddy over with a headscissors, Eddy off the ropes connects with his own headscissors takedown that sends Benoit to the outside. Eddy climbs to the top rope and comes off with a cross body block to Benoit on the outside. Eddy meets Benoit on the apron, he attempts to suplex Benoit in but he floats over into a go behind, Eddy reverses into his own go behind, he grabs a side headlock and Benoit ends up back dropping Eddy over the top rope to the floor and both guys crash to the floor. Eddy attempts to forearm Benoit against the ringpost, Benoit is able to duck and Eddy slams his arm into the ring post. Back in the ring and Benoit takes control with a back body drop. Benoit whips Eddy chest first into the corner and dropkicks him in the back. Benoit hits a nice hammerlock northern lights suplex, Benoit hits Eddy with a snap suplex. Benoit picks Eddy up and whips him off the ropes, he catches Eddy with a back elbow. Eddy off the ropes, Benoit attempts a tilt a whirl backbreaker but Eddy reverses mid move with an arm drag, Eddy springs off the middle rope and takes Benoit down with a spinning DDT for a 2 count. Benoit reverses an Eddy whip attempt into a short arm clothesline. Benoit goes for a blackbody drop but Eddy lands on Benoit for a 1 count. Benoit stomps away at Eddy, he picks him up and starts chopping away. Benoit bodyslams Eddy and continues to stomp away at Eddy. Benoit with an arm drag takeover straight into a top wristlock. Eddy springs off the top rope with a nice headscissors takedown for a 2 count. Eddy picks Benoit up for back body drop on his neck followed by a brainbuster. Eddy comes off the top with his frogsplash but Benoit gets his knees up, Benoit hits a BIG powerbomb for only TWO! Benoit picks Eddy up for another powerbomb but Eddy rolls through, Eddy punches him with his bad arm, Benoit is able to hit a Dragon Suplex for the 3 count.

Match Thoughts: That was fantastic. Easily the best match to occur on Nitro so far. Just great back and forth wrestling from both guys. ****

We head to the ring with Mean Gene who hypes the WCW Hotline. Gene then welcomes Kevin Sullivan and The Giant to the ring. Gene hypes up the monster truck match followed by the WCW World Heavyweight Title Match. Kevin Sullivan says he has been telling everyone for months that he is evil and that Hulk Hogan created him. Sullivan says that he knew since the day he was born that he was the personification of evil. Sullivan brings up the shaving of Hogans moustache and that Hogan has now gone to all black clothing. The Giant says he is going to push Hogan all around the roof of Cobo Hall for the monster truck match, he also says he will push him off the roof.

We see Disco dancing in the aisle way as Mengs music starts playing. Disco runs off to the back instead of complaining.

Meng vs. Jim Duggan

Meng jumps Duggan from behind while he is celebrating on the top rope, Meng kicks away in the corner. Both guys trade blows and Duggan gets an advantage, Meng rakes the eyes to take over. More clubbering from both guys. Meng knocks Duggan down and then chokes him across the middle rope. Meng whips Duggan to the corner but he moves out of the way. Duggan reverses a whip to the corner, Meng comes off the middle rope with a cross body but Duggan ducks down. Duggan with a serious of right hands followed by a clothesline that takes Meng down. Duggan sends Meng off the ropes and catches him with a bodyslam, but Meng gets up straight away. Meng superkicks Duggan and puts on the asiatic spike on Duggan for the submission victory.

Match Thoughts: Nothing but punching and kicking. 1/2*

We go to the back for an interview with Hulk Hogan, who is still dressed in all black. Hogan says that he made every shake in fear last week on Nitro, he says that the evil in Hulk Hogan is real. Hogan says The Giant has yet to look him in the eyes and come face to face with the power of Hulk Hogan. Jimmy Hart says that he is worried after what Hogan says he will do to Kevin Sullivan and The Giant at Halloween Havoc.

Ric Flair/Sting vs. Brian Pillman/Arn Anderson

Flair and Pillman to start and there is no sign of Sting yet. Flair takes Pillman to the corner and hits a BIG chop. Pillman with an eye rake and he whips Flair into the corner. Flair pushes Pillman to the corner and chops away at Pillman and Arn. Flair chops both Pillman and Arn to the floor. Back in the ring Pillman kicks away at Flair and tosses him to the outside. Arn goes to attack Flair but he chops him down, Flair catches Pillman on the apron and throws him throat first across the guardrail. Pillman tags out to Arn, tie up and Flair backs Arn to the corner. HE works him over with chops, Flair whips Arn off the ropes but gets caught with an elbow to the back of the head. Arn goes for his knee drop to the head but Flair catches the knee and locks on the figure four, that was beautiful! Pillman comes off the top rope with a splash but Flair moves out of the way and he locks on the figure four on Pillman. Arn rakes Flair across the eyes and forces him to the corner. Arn whips Flair to the corner who flips out to the apron and catches Pillman with a chop that sends him to the floor. Flair climbs up top and hits an axe handle to Arn. Arn reverses an irish whip and Pillman kicks Flair in the back of the head. STING comes running down the aisle and gets onto the apron. Pillman takes over on Flair with chops in the corner. Flair gets whipped to the corner and then back body dropped. Pillman tags out to Arn who stomps away at Flair in the corner. Pillman gets tagged in and goes toe-to-toe with Flair on chops. Pillman back body drops Flair out of the corner. Pillman whips Flair and misses a dropkick. The crowd is going CRAZY. Flair gets the HOT TAG to Sting who comes in and takes down both Arn and Pillman with right hands. Sting irish whips Pillman and slams him down. Sting gets Arn and Pillman into opposite corners and hits two Stinger splashes on both guys followed by right hands to knock them down. Stings tries for a double noggin knocker but Arn and Pillman knee Sting in the mid section. Sting gets whipped into the corner, he comes straight out with a clothesline sending both guys down to the mat. Sting with an atomic drop on Arn followed by a clothesline that sends Arn over the top and to the floor. Sting catches Pillman on the top rope and throws him crotch first across the top rope. Pillman and Arn get counted out giving the victory to Sting and Flair who both celebrate in the ring.

Match Thoughts: Great tag match. The crowd went absolutely crazy for Sting when he joined in the match. ***

Mean Gene is in the ring with Sting and Ric Flair. Gene asks Sting if there is an reluctance on his end, Sting says that he was in the back watching on the monitor. He said that Flair has a lot of guts taking on Arn and Pillman, Sting says that Flair has lots of heart. Sting says that he accepts Flairs offer and will team with him at Halloween Havoc against Arn Anderson and Brian Pillman.

Next week on Nitro: Lex Luger and Sting vs. Harlem Heat, Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko vs. Alex Wright and Eddy Guerrero.

Show Thoughts: A good episode of Nitro with two very good matches. I’m really enjoying the Flair/Sting against Pillman/Anderson storyline. The Giant and Hogan feud is very boring and ill be happy once that ends. Thumbs up.

WWF Monday Night Raw 09/10/95

Vince McMahon welcomes us to Raw and hypes up the big six man tag. We see Yoko, Bulldog and Owen in the ring already, it looks like the six man tag is opening the show.

Shawn Michaels/Undertaker/Diesel vs. Yokozuna/British Bulldog/Owen Hart

We head to commercial before the opening bell. Back from the break and we have Shawn against Owen. Shawn has a headlock on Owen who pushes Shawn off the ropes Owen is able to block a hiptoss but Shawn flips out of it. Shawn ducks a punch and connects with one of his own, Shawn off the ropes connects with another punch. Shawn hits Owen with an elbow to the head, Shawn whips Owen to the ropes and takes Owen down with an armdrag. Owen reverses into his own but Shawn throws Owen to the ropes, and ends up clotheslining Owen out of the ring. Bulldog comes in and gets hip tossed by Shawn. All 6 men are now in the ring, Owen and Bulldog get thrown into Yoko. Diesel and Undertaker hit a double team Big Boot which sends Yoko to the outside. Bulldog gets into the ring and Diesel whips him into the corner followed by a clothesline. Diesel hammers away on Bulldog and sends him to the outside. Undertaker goes over to Bulldog and lifts him back into the ring. Diesel punches Bulldog all the way to his corner and he tags out to Yoko. Diesels irish whip gets reversed by he is able to hit a flying clothesline that knocks Yoko down. Diesel tags in The Undertaker, Taker hits Yoko with Old School and boots him in the mid section. Taker runs the ropes but gets caught in a samoan drop. Yoko whips Taker to the ropes but gets caught with a big DDT. We see Waylon Mercy watching on from the entrance way. Taker tags out to Shawn who comes off the top rope with an axe handle across Yokos arm. Shawn puts on an arm bar on Yoko. Shawn off the ropes, but Yoko catches him in a belly to belly. Yoko tags out to Owen who covers for a 2 count. Owen picks Shawn up and hits a back breaker, Owen continues to kick away at Shawns back. Owen tags out to Bulldog, they hit a double back elbow. Bulldog picks Shawn up and press slams him to the mat for a 2. Bulldog grabs a handful of Shawns hair and lifts him off the mat and slams him down for a 2. Bulldog slams Shawns head to the turnbuckle and tags out to Owen. Owen distracts the ref while Bulldog and Yoko choke away on Shawn as we head to commercial.

Back from break we see Owen has Shawn in an abdominal stretch. In the aisle way we see Dean Douglas taking notes. Owen reaches out to Bulldog who grabs his arm to apply more pressure, the ref catches them and kicks at the arm. Shawn is able to hip toss Owen and break the hold. Owen picks up Shawn and whips him off the ropes. Owen gets caught in a back slide for a 2 count, Owen up straight away and clotheslines Shawn down. He tags out to Yoko who lets Shawn get up before knocking him straight down with a big punch, Yoko tags out to Bulldog, they hit a double headbutt and Bulldog gets a 2 count. Bulldog hits a nice delayed suplex on Shawn for 2. Bulldog tags out to Owen who headbutts Shawn, Owen with a snapmare followed by a headlock. Shawn gets back to his feet and elbows Owen in the mid section. Shawn runs off the ropes and gets caught with a back elbow for 2, Owen argues with the ref and Shawn school boys him for a 2 count. Owen slams Shawn down and climbs to the top rope and comes off with a splash as we head to another break.

Back from commercial and we see Owen and Shawn are both down in the ring. We see a replay of Owen missing the splash off the top rope. Owen tags in Bulldog while Shawn gets the hot tag to Diesel. Diesel irish whips Bulldog and catches him with a sidewalk slam. Yoko and Owen comes into the ring, Diesel fights them both off. Diesel runs off the ropes but Owen hits him in the back. Bulldog hits the running powerslam and Taker gets in the ring to break the fall. Yoko comes in and legdrops Diesel, Bulldog covers Diesel and gets the 3 count.

Match Thoughts: Excellent way to open Raw. A truly fantastic 6 man tag. The sections with Owen against Shawn were easily the best. **** 

After the match Mabel comes to the ring and attacks Taker. Mabel whips Yoko into a prone Taker in the corner, Mabel then follows that up with his own splash. Mabel and Yoko take turns in hitting leg drops on Taker. Dean Douglas rams Shawn back first into the apron, he then suplex Shawn chest first across the steel steps. In the ring Mabel continues to splash and legdrop The Undertaker. One of the legdrops by Yoko or Mabel actually breaks The Undertakers Orbital Bone. 

While The Undertaker, Diesel and Shawn are being attended to we see footage from last week of Bret Hart and Jerry Lawlers confrontation. 

Vince lets us know that next week it will be Bret Hart vs. Isaac Yankem in a steel cage match. We get footage of Isaac Yankem vs Bret Hart from Summerslam.

Skip vs. Fatu
Skip is Chris Candido and Fatu is Rikishi.

Lock up to start Skip controls with punches and whips Fatu to the ropes. Skip leapfrogs over Fatu and does some jumping jacks. Fatu gets an armbar which Skip reverses. Skip with some punches to the head, Skip attempts to slam Fatus head into the corner but that doesn’t faze him. Fatu blocks Skips punches and knocks him down. Sunny gets onto the apron and distracts Fatu. Fatu slides out of the ring, Skip comes up behind Fatu, but Fatu catches Skip with a punch. Back in the ring Fatu misses a shoulderblock in the corner. Skip with a back body drop, he then lifts Fatu up for a bodyslam. Skip off the top rope with a fist drop on Fatu. Fatu ducks a punch and gets one of his own. Skip leapfrogs Fatu and catches him in the back of the head with a kick for a 2 count. Skip kicks Fatu in the midsection and takes him down with a snapmare, Skip follows that up with a headlock. Fatu tries to fight out of the headlock but Skip slams him down to the mat. Skip comes off the top rope with a headbutt but he hurts himself. Fatu sends Skip off the ropes and hits a big back body drop, followed by a clothesline in the corner. Fatu picks Skip up and hits a backbreaker. Fatu wants to head up top but Sunny distracts him, Skip cuts off Fatu and rams his head into the turnbuckle. Skip lifts Fatu to the top rope, Skip tries to suplex him off the top rope but isn’t able to get him over. Fatu punches Skip off the top rope and hits a splash for the 3 count.

Match Thoughts: Decent match between these two. **

We head to the back to speak with Dok Hendrix but there appears to be audio problems so we go to commercial.

Back from the break we see highlights from the opening 6 man tag followed by the assault after the match. 

We now get word from Dok, he says that its not a good time to speak with Shawn, Diesel or Taker. Instead we head to Jim Ross who speaks with Jim Cornette and the Bulldog. Jim wants everyone at home to touch the screen to feel the moment. Jim says that Bulldog has done something that no-one else has been able to do, pin Diesel 1-2-3. Jim lets us know that Bulldog is going to beat Diesel at In Your House 4. Bulldog says he has been denied title shots in the WWF, he lets us know that when he stepped into the ring with Bret Hart he won the Intercontinental Title, he says he will do that against Diesel too. 

Vince McMahon and Jerry Lawler hype the cage match for next week.

Show Thoughts: Fantastic show this week. There was only two matches but both delivered. The opening match was excellent and is a must see. Thumbs up.

WCW Monday Nitro 09/10/95

WCW Monday Nitro 09/10/95:

We open Nitro with footage of Hogan getting his moustache shaved off last week at the hands of Kevin Sullivan and The Giant.

Eric Bischoff welcomes us to this weeks edition of Nitro, like always he is joined by Steve McMichael and Bobby Hennan. Sting comes out the announce desk and he wants the issue between Randy Savage and Lex Luger to be resolved. He lets us know later in the night he will have an answer to the issue.

Sting vs. Shark

Shark attacks Sting at the bell with clubbing blows. Shark hits a bodyslam followed by an elbow drop and a leg drop for a 2 count. Shark whips Sting to the corner but misses a splash, Sting hits two Stinger Splashes followed by a flying cross body block off the top rope for the 3 count.

Match Thoughts: Nothing match, only used to get the crowd warmed up. 1/2*

We get a replay of what went down last week with Hulk Hogan, Kevin Sullivan and The Giant.

Sabu vs. Mr. J.L.
Mr. J.L is Jerry Lynn from ECW.

Sabu jumps Lynn before the bell. Sabu bodyslams Lynn to the mat and hits a somersault leg drop from the apron into the ring. Sabu sits Lynn up and comes off the middle rope with a flying leg lariat for 2. Sabu locks in a headlock on Lynn, Lynn gets up and reverses an irish whip and connects with a flying back elbow. Lynn whips Sabu off the ropes and kicks him to the outside, Lynn follows up a flying plancha to the outside. Lynn gets back into the ring, Sabu climbs to the apron and flips into the ring over Lynn and comes off the ropes with a spinning wheel kick that sends Lynn to the outside. Sabu nails Lynn with a summersault plancha, Sabu throws Lynn into the guardrail and sets up a chair. Sabu leaps off the chair and hits Air Sabu on Lynn who is against the guardrail. Lynn gets onto the apron, Sabu attempts to suplex him into the ring but Lynn is able to float over and hit a nice bridging german suplex for a 2 count. Lynn whips Sabu into the corner and follows up with a dropkick. Sabu whips Lynn to the corner and hits a clothesline off the ropes. Sabu turns Lynn over and hits a springboard moonsault across the back and locks in the Camel Clutch. Sabu gets crotched on the top rope and Lynn hits a rope assisted DDT for 2. Lynn climbs up to but gets caught with a punch by Sabu, Sabu tries for a hurricarana but Lynn holds on to the top rope, Lynn jumps off the top rope and gets caught in a powerbomb, Sabu locks in the camel clutch and gets the tap out victory.

Match Thoughts: Very good match between to future ECW legends. Good back and forth match with some great highspots. ***

After the match Sabu throws Lynn to the apron and hits a sunset flip powerbomb from the apron to the floor!

We head to the ring with Gene who is with Sting and Lex Luger. Gene wants to know what Stings solution is to the problem between Savage and Luger. Sting says that he needs the Macho Man to be out here first. Out comes Randy Savage to join Sting and Luger in the ring. Sting says that they need to listen to him as The Giant is winning everything at the moment. Savage wants to know why The Giant hasn’t gotten his hands on Sting yet. Sting says that Savage is paranoid, he says that all three of them want to be the Heavyweight Champion. Sting tells Savage to shut up and just listen. Sting says at Halloween Havoc Luger is facing Meng and Savage is facing Kamala. Sting says that if Luger and Savage win their respective matches they should go at it. Savage says he likes it, Luger says he wants a rematch with Savage but not at Halloween Havoc as he has a big match with Meng and tells Sting to stop putting words in his mouth. Sting says that he is tired of babysitting Luger and wants an answer if Luger is up to the match or not. Luger says that he will accept the match.

We get a shot of a limo arriving to the arena and we see Chris Benoit get out!!!!! Oh yeah, thats who i’ve been waiting for. Awesome.

Back inside the arena we see Disco Machine dancing in the aisle way. Suddenly Big Bubba Rogers music starts playing, Disco pulls out a boom box playing his music and he continues to dance. Hawk comes out and scares Disco. Disco grabs someones hat and puts it on one of the spikes on Hawks gear.

Hawk vs. Big Bubba Rogers

Bubba attacks before the bell while Hawk was looking at Disco. Bubba hits a big splash in the corner and follows up with punches. Bubba continues to punch away at Hawk, Hawk whips Bubba to the corner but he slides out of the ring. Bubba comes straight back in and misses a clothesline but connects with a big boot. Bubba runs right into a powerslam from Hawk. Disco is now dancing on the apron, Hawk grabs at Disco ripping his shirt off. Hawk goes after Disco in the aisle way slamming him against the guardrail. Hawk realises to late and gets counted out giving Big Bubba Rogers the win.

Match Thoughts: Not very good at all. I don’t really enjoy Hawk or Animal in singles matches. Very lame ending as well. 1/4*

Mean Gene is in the ring again and introduces Hulk Hogan to some very loud boos. Hogan comes out in all black gear as opposed to his usual Yellow and Red. Hulk says that he is in all black as the games are over and he now knows the rules. Hulk says that he beat up Andre and he will also beat up his son (The Giant, a very lame angle WCW used). Hulk says that The Giant wants to knock down all of the little Hulkamaniacs, Hulk says that he wants The Giant right now. We get live footage outside the arena and we see The Giant, The Zodiac and Kevin Sullivan in a monster truck! Hogan says if The Giant cant get into the arena then he will go to The Giant. Hogan leaves the ring.

Eric Bischoff hypes Halloween Havoc and the Monster Truck match followed by the WCW World Heavyweight Title Match.

Steve McMichael, Bobby Hennan and Eric Bischoff continue to hype Halloween Havoc. Two police officers whisper something into Bischoffs ear, Eric lets us know that the police are keeping Hogan and The Giant separated.

Ric Flair vs. Arn Anderson (Cage Match)

Lock up to start and Arn catches Flair with a knee. Flair comes back with chops and punches that knock Arn down to the mat. Arn reverses a whip to the corner and catches Flair with a back body drop. Arn sends Flair head first into the cage, he kicks and chokes away at Flair. Arn throws Flair into the cage again as we head to a commercial. Oh come on.

Back from break and we see Flair in control with chops, Arn is able to reverse a whip and catch Flair in a spinebuster for a 1 count!!. Arn rakes Flair across the top rope, Flair with a big chop that knocks Arn down. Flair throws Arn into the cage twice and then rakes his face across the cage. Flair punches away at Arn who is stuck between the ropes and the cage. Flair goes to throw Arn into the cage but Arn is able to reverse and throw Flair to the cage. Arn now rakes Flairs head against the cage, Flair knocks Arn down with a right hand. Flair hits a nice delayed suplex on Arn. Brian Pillman comes out from the back and climbs to the top of the cage, Flair catches him there and punches him off the cage. Flair hits an axe handle on Arn followed by a shin breaker. Flair goes to lock on the figure four but Arn punches him in the face and covers for the 1-2-3. We see a replay of the finish which shows Arn had some brass knuckles on when he punched Flair.

Match Thoughts: Criminally short match for these two, especially give it was a cage match. Nevertheless, it was still excellent. I don’t think these two can have a bad match together. ***

Flair goes to the announce booth and takes Bischoffs headset. Flair says that he wants to fight both Arn and Pillman next week, he says that he will try and find a partner.

Show Thoughts: A very up and down show this week. Two very good matches and two very bad matches. Its good to see the Flair vs. Arn and Pillman storyline continues on and even better to see Chris Benoit debut. The Hulk Hogan vs. The Giant feud just keeps dragging on. Thumbs in the middle.

WWF Monday Night Raw 02/10/95

WWF Monday Night Raw 02/10/1995

We open Raw with a replay of the finish to last weeks WWF Tag Team Championship match in which The Smoking Gunns became the new champs.

We head straight to ringside for our first match as Razor Ramon is coming down the aisle.

1-2-3 Kid vs. Razor Ramon

Before the match we see highlights from May 17th 1993 when the 1-2-3 Kid beat Razor Ramon in one of the biggest upsets in WWF history. We also see footage from two weeks ago when Dean Douglas helped 1-2-3 Kid beat Razor.

Lock up to start and Razor tosses Kid over the top rope. Another lock up and Razor throws Kid into the corner, Kid ducks under a lock up to get a hammerlock, Razor elbows out of that. He whips Kid to the corner, Kid ducks under and takes over with kicks in the corner. Kid whips Razor into the ropes but it gets reversed, Razor catches Kid in a fallaway slam for a 2 count. Kid ducks a punch from Razor and connects with a spin kick, Razor kicks out for 2 by sending Kid to the outside. We see Dean Douglas in the aisle taking notes. Kid slides back into the ring between Razors legs, Razor knocks Kid down with a big right hand for a 2 count. Kid ducks a clothesline and hits another spin kick for two, as Dean Douglas leaves the aisle. Kid with a snapmare followed by two quick leg drops. Kid goes for a big spin kick, Razor ducks and comes off the ropes with a big clothesline for the win.

After the match Kid slaps Razor and Vince says that we have another match, Kids whip gets reversed and he gets sent to the corner. Razor with some big chops in the corner followed by a big hip toss. Razor locks Kid into the abdominal stretch. Razor slaps the Kid in the back of the head, Kid fights back with a slap to the face of Razor. Razor sends Kid into the corner but gets caught with a big boot as we head to commercial.

Back from break we see Kid come off the top rope but gets caught in a powerbomb and the ref counts to 3.

Vince lets us know that we now have a 3rd match between the two, as Kid tries a sunset flip on Razor but gets punched in the face for his troubles. Razor picks Kid up and places him on the top rope. Razor hits a nice back body drop and Razor signals for the Razors Edge. Razor decides against the Razors Edge and gets a small package for the 3 count.

Match Thoughts: Another good match between these two, i would have preferred this to be one match instead of broken up into 3 separate matches. **3/4

After the match Kid offers a handshake, Razor accepts and both guys hug.

We head to Vince and Jerry at ringside who hype In Your House 4: Great White North. Matches currently signed are:

Hunter Hearst-Helmsley vs. Barry Horowitz
This is my first time covering HHH during the Monday Night Wars. It is so hard to believe that he would go onto have the career that he did.

Lock up to start, HHH gets a wristlock and takes Barry down to the mat with a nice cross armbreaker. Another lock up, HHH with a go behind and he takes Barry down to the mat. Barry stands up and reverses into his own go behind and takes HHH down, HHH to the ropes to break the hold. Barry attempts a lock up but HHH punches him in the gut and takes over with european uppercuts in the corner. HHH with a snapmare, followed by a knee drop to the head of Barry. HHH with a delayed suplex, HHH slaps away at Barry on the mat. HHH with an uppercut, Barry with some punches. Barry with a sunset flip for a two count, HHH knocks Barry down to the mat and takes over with kicks and chokes on the middle rope. HHH whips Barry off the ropes and hits a back elbow. HHH goes for a hip toss, but Barry is able to reverse into a back slide for a 2 count. HHH takes Barry down with a big clothesline for a 2 count. HHH whips Barry to the corner, Barry blocks and elbows HHH down to the mat. Barry off the ropes hits a press for a 2 count, Barry with a small package for another 2 count. Barry with some european uppercuts and whips HHH to the ropes, Barry ducks down but gets caught in the Pedigree for the 3 count.

Match Thoughts: Not a bad match, HHH was very boring during this period of his career. Once he gets rid of the Blueblood gimmick he becomes a lot better. **

PG-13 vs. Al Brown & Sonny Rogers
PG-13 is Wolfie D and JC Ice. They are both from the Memphis wrestling territories and current USWA Tag Team Champions.

Before the match we get a split screen promo from PG-13 challenging The Smoking Gunns.

D and Sonny start, D gets a wristlock which Sonny is able to reverse out of. D takes over with some punches and tags out to JC who hits a nice dropkick. JC tags to D, PG-13 hit a double team elbow for a two count. D hits Sonny with a bodyslam. D tags in JC and they hit a nice atomic drop clothesline combo. JC whips Sonny to the ropes and hits a back elbow for a 2 count. JC tags out to D, D with a snap mare, Sonny moves out of the way of an elbow drop and tags out to Al Brown. Al with a big clothesline on D followed by a bodyslam. Al whips D to the corner, D moves out of the way and hits a big german suplex. D puts Al onto the top rope and tags out to JC. JC distracts the ref and D hits a bulldog on Al off the top rope. JC covers for a 2 count, JC tags back out to D. PG-13 hits a double team bulldog, D tags in JC who comes off the ropes and gets slammed onto Brown by D for the 3 count.

Match Thoughts: Squash. Its good to see a proper tag team in the WWF, during this time there were no real tag teams. *

Next week on Raw its Diesel, Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker vs. Yoko, Owen Hart and British Bulldog. Im looking forward to that match.

Bret Hart vs. Jean Pierre Lafitte
This is a rematch from In Your House 3 where Bret Hart defeated Lafitte in an excellent match.

Lock up to start, Jean powers Bret into the corner, both guys start slugging it out in the corner. Jean takes over and hammers Bret down to the mat in the corner. Jean whips Bret to the corner and follows up with a clothesline. Jean off the ropes with an elbow drop. Jean puts on a headlock, Bret fights back with some elbows to the midsection. Bret runs off the ropes and gets knocked down by a back elbow. Jean whips Bret to the corner, he comes charging at Bret who ducks and Jean flies to the outside. Bret follows Jean outside and bodyslams him onto the steel steps. Bret throws Jean back into the ring, Brets whip gets reversed. He gets a foot up at the charging Jean and comes off the middle rope for a one count. Bret hammers away at Jean on the mat. Jean reverses a whip and throws Bret neck first across the top rope. Jean locks on another headlock to Bret who is on the mat. Bret gets back to his feet while in the headlock, Bret with some right hands and he comes of the ropes. Bret tries for a hip toss but Jean knocks Bret down with a clothesline, Jean picks Bret up and hits a body slam. Jean comes off the tope rope with a headbutt for 2. Jean picks Bret up from the mat and chokes him across the middle ropes. Jean runs the ropes and jumps on Brets back, he covers for a 2 count. Jean sends Bret to the corner and follows in with a big body splash in the corner. Jean continues to hammer away on Bret, Jean whips Bret to the ropes. Bret ducks under Jean and gets a small package for a 2 count, Jean connects with a clothesline to slow the pace as we head to commercial.

Back from break and Jean drops a leg across Brets throat and gets a 2 count. Jean picks Bret up off the mat and hits a side walk slam. Jean climbs to the top rope, he comes off with a leg drop but Bret is able to move. Bret connects with some punches and irish whips Jean, Jean ducks under and connects with a forearm. Jean gets a 2 count, Jean ends up on the outside. Bret follows him out, but gets thrown into the steel steps. Bret slowly climbs onto the apron, Jean attempts to suplex him back in but Bret floats over. Bret tries for a rolling pin but Jean holds onto the ropes. Bret hits an atomic drop followed by a clotheslines off the ropes. Bret hips Jean off the ropes, connects with a punch to the gut and hits a russian leg sweep for 2. Bret comes off the middle rope with his elbow drop for 2. Jean is able to reverse a whip into the corner, Bret tries to go up and over but Jean catches him and hits a rolling firemans carry for a 2 count. Jean cuts off Brets fight back with a back body drop, Jean heads to the top rope but gets cut off by Bret. Bret climbs to the top rope and hits a suplex. Bret locks in the sharpshooter and Jean submits.

Match Thoughts: Another great match between these two. Its good to see a match get a lot of time to build a story on Raw. ***1/2.

After the match Bret walks past Jerry Lawler who talks trash to him. Jerry takes of his robe and both guys fight at ringside. Bret knocks Jerry over the guardrail. From the back comes Isaac Yankem who DDTs Bret on the floor.

Vince hypes the big 6 man tag for next week.

We go backstage for an interview with Jim Cornette, Mr. Fuji, Yoko, Owen Hart and British Bulldog. Jim lets us know that Undertaker couldn’t handle Bulldog by himself so he had Diesel and Shawn attack him. Owen says that Undertaker, Diesel and Shawn will be all theres next week, Bulldog says they are going to finish them off once and for all.

In the back now with, Diesel, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and Paul Bearer. Shawn lets us know that The Undertaker doesn’t need their help and they’re there because they want to be. Diesel says they are the champs and do what they want. The Undertaker says that next week they will be the Vultures scrapping the rotten carcasses as night falls.

Show Thoughts: Very good episode of Raw. Four matches on the show this week and they all delivered. Thumbs up.

WCW Monday Nitro 02/10/1995

We open with Eric Bischoff, Mongo and Bobby Hennan who hype Lex Luger vs Randy Savage, where Luger has put his career on the line. Ric Flair comes to the announce booth and grabs Bischoffs headset and tells Arn that he is coming for him tonight.

We see clips of what has lead to Randy Savage vs Lex Luger, plus clips from last week of The Giant chokeslamming everybody.

Lex Luger vs. Randy Savage (If Lex Luger loses he will leave WCW)

Lock up to start and both guys fight for an advantage, still in the lock up both guys roll through the middle ropes and to the floor. We head to break as both Luger and Savage are trying to gain an advantage.

Back from the break we see Randy Savage in the ring and Lex Luger on the outside. Luger comes back in the ring and they lock up, Luger overpowers Savage into the corner. Luger slaps Savage, Savage whips Luger to the corner and hits him with an elbow that sends Luger to the outside, Savage follows him outside and Savage tire to get a suplex but Luger reverses it into a neckbreaker. Luger throws Savage back into the ring. Luger goes for a bodyslam but Savage reverses into a small package for two. Luger hits Savage with a gorilla press slam, and poses for the crowd. Luger whips Savage into the ropes, Savage kicks Luger in the chest, Savage tries for a backslide but Luger has his leg on the rope , he now reverses the back slide and gets a 2 count of his own. Savage with a headlock, Luger pushes him off the ropes and both guys collide in mid ring. Savage heads to the top rope and comes off for an axe handle but Luger catches him in the mid section, Savage throws Luger to the outside, Savage climbs to the top rope and connects with an axe handle. Savage drops Luger throat first across the guard rail. Savage tries to send Luger into the ring post, but Luger is able to push Savage into the ring post. Savage with a knee to the back of Luger that sends him into the corner. Luger tries to whip Savage into the corner, but Savage reverses it and ends Luger into the ref. Savage with a bodyslam, he climbs up top and hits the elbow but there is no ref. The Giant comes out from the back and gets into the ring. He grabs Savage by the throat and hits a chokeslam, and walks to the back. Luger picks Savage up into the Torture Rack and Savage is out.

Match Thoughts: Good match that continued on their feud. The Giant interference will make Savage believe that Lex Luger is apart of the Dungeon of Doom. **1/4

We head up to the commentators booth who discuss The Giants interference. Bischoff wants to know why The Giant didn’t go after Luger.

Disco Inferno comes out and starts dancing in the aisle way for no real reason in particular. Eddys music starts to play and Disco is upset.

Eddy Guerrero vs. Dean Malenko

Tie up to start and both guys end up in the corner. Eddy shoves Dean down and he kips back up. Greco roman lockup, Eddy powers Dean down to the mat, Dean monkey flips Eddy but he lands on his feet. Headlock by Dean who spins around Eddy and takes him down with a drop toe hold an grabs a front face lock, Eddy reverses that into a hammerlock. Dean reverses to his own hammerlock, Eddy grabs a headlock but gets pushed off the ropes by Dean. Eddy takes Dean down with a shoulderblock, both guys run the ropes and duck each others moves until Dean connects with a dropkick. Dean slams Eddys head into the turnbuckle, Eddy whips Dean to the corner, Eddy runs at Dean and gets lifted up and Dean catches him with a powerbomb, Dean tries for a pin attempt but Eddy reverses into his own which Dean then reverses again into a headscissors takeover.

They cut away from the match to show that Hulk Hogan has arrived at the arena. Hulk says that he is going to hunt down the Giant tonight and he will put an end to all this madness. Why in the world did they have to have this segment during this match, couldn’t they have had this occur after the match?

Back to the match and Eddy has Dean in a headlock on the ropes, Dean with an elbow to the ribs and he whips Eddy to the ropes. Dean grabs a full nelson which Eddy tries to counter out of but Dean gets the full nelson on again. Dean with a snap mare and he gets a two count. Eddy whips Dean to the corner and tries a monkey flip, but Dean holds on and both guys crash to the outside. Eddy bodyslams Dean to the floor, Eddy climbs to the top rope and hits a big cross body off the top rope. Eddy throws Dean back into the ring, Eddy hits a brainbuster and heads up top. Eddy goes for the frog splash but Dean gets his knees up. Both guys with standing switches, Dean tries to grab Eddys leg for a leg hold but Eddy sits down and gets the 3 count for the win.

Match Thoughts: That was an awesome match. Great back and forth wrestling with good reversals and a mix of high flying moves. ***3/4.

After the match Dean wants a re-match, Eddy agrees anytime and both guys shake hands.

Mean Gene is in the ring and Hulk Hogan comes out. Gene says the Giant is running riot and Hulk is his main target. Hulk says he has been doing some soul searching recently. Hulk says just like how he rips his shirt off, he is going to rip Giants chest open in the back. Hulk goes to the outside and slaps hands with the fans, one fan throws powder in his eyes and jumps the guard rail, but its Kevin Sullivan dressed as a woman. He beats on Hogan with a cane and sends him into the ring. We see The Giant and Zodiac coming out from the back, The Giant takes Hogans neck brace off and wrenches Hogans neck just like at Fall Brawl. Sullivan has a razor and he shaves off Hogans moustache. The American Males head to the ring but both get taken out by chokeslams, now the Nasty Boys run out from the back, but hey both fall victim to chokeslams from The Giant.

Ric Flair vs. Arn Anderson

Tie up to start and Arn slams Flair straight to the mat, Flair gets up and chops Arn down. Flair attacks with punches and chops. Flair goes to whip Arn to the corner but its reversed and Arn back body drops Flair. Arn covers for a 2 count, Arn grabs the arm and stomps down onto it, he grabs a hammerlock on the mat. Flair is able to get up and send Arn into the corner, he chops away at Arn and connects with some right hands. Flair throws Arn into the corner again and hits a chop, Arn with the eye rake to take control. Arn whips Flair to the corner who flips over the top rope onto the apron, Arn charges for a clothesline but Flair pulls the top rope down and Arn tumbles over to the floor. Flair whips Arn into the guard-rail, he then chops Arn and kicks him in the mid section, Flair chops Arn again, Arn gets an eye rake, Flair charges at Arn and gets back body dropped. Arn slams Flairs head into the guardrail. Back in the ring both guys trade punches, Arn gets control and whips Flair to the ropes and punches him in the midsection. Flair goes for a whip but Arn reverses it and hits a spin buster, Arn slowly covers and gets 2. Arn grabs an arn lock on Flair, Flair gets up and whips Arn to the ropes and grabs a sleeper, Arn pushes Flair off the ropes and gets his own sleeper. Flair is able to send Arn into the corner and follows up with a back body drop. Flair picks Arn up and knocks him back down with a big right. Flair picks up Arn again and whips him to the corner, Flair follows in but Arn hits him with an elbow, Arn out of the corner gets knocked down with a back elbow by Flair, Flair applies the figure four but Arn gets to the ropes. Arn rolls to the outside, Flair climbs to the top rope and comes off with an axe handle but Arn catches him with a punch to the midsection. Arn goes for a piledriver on the floor but Flair reverses that into a back body drop. Flair throws Arn into the ring, Arn attacks Flair as he gets into the ring. Arn goes for the DDT near the ropes, Flair holds onto the top rope and Arn falls to the mat. Flair hits a series of quick right hands to the head of Arn. Flair with a chop to Arn and he whips him into the ropes, Arn connects with an elbow to the back of the head. Arn climbs to the middle rope, he jumps off and Flair catches him in the mid section. Flair locks on the Figure Four in the middle of the ring. Brian Pillman runs out from the back and splashes Flair from the top rope drawing the DQ.

Match Thoughts: Another excellent match between Arn and Flair. Not as good as their match at Fall Brawl, but still very good. ***1/2.

After the match its a 2 on 1 beat down on Flair. Pillman is holding both of Flairs arms while Arn stomps away at the shoulder of Flair.

Eric Bischoff lets us know that Nick Bockwinkle has signed a cage match for next week, Arn Anderson versus Ric Flair, Hell yeah!!!

Also next week we will see Sting against Shark, Sabu vs Mr J.L and Big Bubba vs. Road Warrior Hawk.

Show Thoughts: Very good show this week, two excellent matches and a very good match makes this an easy thumbs up.

WWF Monday Night RAW 25/09/1995

Vince McMahon and Jerry Lawler welcome us to the show. Vince introduces Marty Jannetty who is making his return to the WWF.

Skip vs. Marty Jannetty
Lock up to start, Marty sends Skip off the ropes and he ducks down, then leapfrogs over Skip and connects with a hiptoss, an armdrag and then a drop kick that sends Skip to the outside. Skip gets a hug from Sunny on the outside. Skip gets back into the ring, lock up and Skip gets an eye rake, he sends Marty out of the corner into the opposite side with a whip but Marty jumps over Skip, and grabs a headlock. Skip sends Marty off the ropes, Skip ducks down then leapfrogs MArty who connects with a back body drop sending Skip to the outside for another hug with Sunny. Marty taps Sunny on the shoulder and gets a hug from her, Sunny turns to slap Marty but he ducks and she slaps Skip. Back in the ring for a lock up, Marty with an arm wring and he takes him down, Marty gets a hammerlock onto Skip on the mat. Marty runs off the ropes and gets tripped by Sunny, Skip hits a nice gutwrench suplex. Skip hits a suplex on Marty as we see Dean Douglas taking notes in the aisle. Skip hits a bodyslam followed by a leg drop as we go to commercial.

Back from break and Skip is still in control, Skip irish whips Marty and takes him down with a BIG clothesline. Snap mare by Skip and a leg drop gets a 2 count. Skip punches away at Marty in the corner, Skip goes to irish whip Marty into the corner but Marty reverses it, Skip tries to go up and over but Marty catches him, Skip slips out and tries a german, Marty reverses that and hits his own german suplex for a 2 count. Skip irish whips Marty, Skip tries a leap frog but Marty catches him into a powerbomb. Marty with a couple of punches and he comes off the ropes with big right hand to knock him down. Marty whips Skip and hits a jumping back elbow, Marty connects with a punch to the midsection and a knee lift for 2. Marty off the ropes with a cross body but doesn’t go for the pin instead turns his attention to Sunny. Skip charges at Marty but gets backdropped to the outside. Skip gets onto the apron, Marty tries for a suplex but Skip counters that into a body press for 2. Skip whips Marty off the ropes and ducks down for a back body drop, Marty grabs an arm wringer and hits the Rocker Dropper, Marty climbs to the top rope and hits a fist drop for 3.

Match Thoughts: Good fast paced opener between these two. I have never been a big fan of the Rocker Dropper as a finisher. **

We get footage from last night where Gorilla sanctions British Bulldog to be the partner of Yokozuna during the main event. We see Gorilla Monsoon with Jim Cornette and his lawyer Clarence Mason. Clarence gets Gorilla to admit that he did make British Bulldog the WWF Tag Team Champion for the night. Due to the threat of legal action the WWF has declared Yokozuna and Owen Hart are still the champions. Vince lets us know that the non-title match tonight is now for the WWF Tag Team Titles.

Yokozuna/Owen Hart vs. The Smoking Gunns
Before the match even starts we head straight to commercial.

Back from the break we see Bark ducking down and Owen running off the ropes, he ducks a clothesline and cross body block but Bart hits a drop toe hold and grabs an arm wringer. Bart tags out to Billy who grabs an arm wringer of his own, Billy turns it into a hammerlock but Owen hits a back elbow to break the hold. Owen with punches in the corner, he goes to whip Billy into the corner but gets reversed. Billy connects with a right hand, irish whip by Owen and he gets a drop toe hold then he tags out to Yoko. Tie up and Billy grabs a headlock, Yoko pushes Billy off the ropes and shoulder blocks him down. We see Shawn Michaels and Diesel watching the match on a monitor backstage. Yoko hits a chop and whips Billy, Billy slides through under Yokos legs and kicks away at him. Billy with a dropkick, he then runs off the ropes and takes Yoko down with a bulldog. Irish whip by Yoko, Billy ducks a clothesline and goes for a crucifix but Yoko reverses it into a samoan drop which sends Billy to the outside. Owen takes advantage and stomps away on Billy, he throws Billy back into the ring. Yoko puts his foot across the throat of Billy. Yoko tags in Owen and they hit a double headbutt which sends Billy down. Owen gets a headlock on Billy, Billy fights back with elbows to the midsection, Billy off the ropes and gets a 2 count off a sunset flip. Owen straight back up, he connects with an enziguri and a leg drop for a 2 count as we head to break.

Back from commercial and Owen has a headlock on Billy. Billy with elbows to the midsection, Owen off the ropes and he hits a swinging neckbreaker, Owen comes off the top with a cross body block but Billy rolls through and gets a 2 count. Owen grabs Billy by the leg and drags him over to his corner and he tags in Yoko. Yoko pushes Billy into the corner and works him over with punches and kicks in the corner. Yoko takes Billy over with a snap mare and puts on the nerve hold. Billy slowly gets to his feet and connects with elbows to the midsection to break the hold. Billy runs off the ropes and gets taken down by an elbow from Yoko. Yoko comes out of the corner for an elbow drop but Billy is able to roll out of the way. Billy tries for a leg drop but Yoko rolls out of the way, Yoko goes for a splash and this time Billy moves out of the way. Yoko tags out to Owen who runs over and grabs Billy by the pants to try and prevent the tag, but Bill is able to get the hot tag to Bart. Bart comes in and takes over on Owen with a knee to the midsection, he whips Owen to the ropes and gets a big back body drop. Bart whips Owen to the corner and hits him with a gorilla press slam for two as Yoko breaks up the pin. The Gunns whip Owen into Yoko who falls over in the corner and Bart holds Owen for a sidewalk slam as Billy comes off the top with a leg drop. Bart covers but rolls out of the way as Yoko splashes Owen, Bart covers Owen and gets the 3 count and The Smoking Gunns win the WWF Tag Team Titles.

Match Thoughts: Very good tag match. Owen was his usual awesome self and carried Yoko in the tag match. The Gunns are not the greatest but there really isn’t any other tag teams at the moment. **1/2

After the match Shawn Michaels and Diesel enter the ring and celebrate with the new champs.

Undertaker vs. British Bulldog
Again we head to commercial before the match gets underway.

We come back from the break with Bulldog on the outside and Undertaker staring him down from inside the ring. Undertaker goes to the outside and stalks Bulldog, back in the ring Bulldog catches Undertaker with some boots the back, irish whip by Bulldog who goes for a back body drop but Undertaker slams his head to the mat. Irish whip by Undertaker sends Bulldog to the corner, Undertaker chokes away at Bulldog. Bulldog takes over with some punches and whips Undertaker to the ropes, Undertaker hits his jumping clothesline to take the Bulldog down. Undertaker grabs an arm wringer and goes to the top rope, Bulldog is able to pull him down off the top rope. Bulldog attempts a whip but its reversed by Undertaker who hits a big boot. Bodyslam by Undertaker who goes for an elbow drop, Bulldog moves out of the way and clotheslines Undertaker to the floor who lands on his feet. Undertaker grabs Jim Cornette by the throat on the outside, and Bulldog takes out Undertakers knee with a chop block. Bulldog whips Undertaker knee first into the ring steps. We see Mabel and Mo watching on from the top of the aisle as we head to commercial.

Back from the break and Bulldog is working over Undertakers leg. Bulldog tries to whip Undertaker to the corner but his knee gives out, Bulldog applies a single leg boston crab. Undertaker tries to fight bak with kicks and punches, but Bulldog whips him into the corner and goes for the powerslam, Undertaker slips out and hits a back body drop. Undertaker and Bulldog slug it out in the middle of the ring, Undertaker takes over and irish whips Bulldog to the corner, he grabs an arm wringer and walks the ropes and comes off the top. Irish whip by Undertaker, Bulldog counters into a piledriver for 2. Bulldog hits a suplex and gets another 2 count, Bulldog again hits a suplex for two. Bulldog whips Undertaker to the ropes, Undertaker ducks under a clothesline and hits a chokeslam. Mabel gets into the ring, Undertaker and Mabel are face to face. Bulldog hits a knee to the back of Undertaker which sends him into Mabel, Mabel hits a spinning Belly to Belly Suplex to draw the DQ.

Match Thoughts: Very good main event. that was hurt by a DQ ending. ***

After the match Bulldog picks Undertaker up and hits him with the powerslam. Mabel connects with a leg drop. Shawn Michaels and Diesel run out for the save. The Gunns also run out to make sure Mabel, Mo, Bulldog and Owen Hart don’t attack Undertaker.

Back from the break, and Undertaker shakes hands with everyone.

It is announced that next week on Raw it will be 1-2-3 Kid vs. Razor Ramon.

Show Thoughts: Fantastic show this week. All 3 matches delivered and we got to see a title change hands on Raw as well. Thumbs Up
